|
Welfare Workerに対する英語力基準が上がりました。IELTS 7 in all
bands (しかし、複数の試験で4科目をクリアすれば良し)になります。
なお、DiplomaのSOLポイントが60から50に下がると言われていますが、未だ確定事項ではありません。現在検討されているようですが、結論が出るまでには今しばらく時間がかかるかも知れません。
From Sept 30 2009 you have to get 7 in each band of IELTS (not
necessarily in the same test) for the skills assessment.

昨年暮れより、移民局の捜査にて摘発された学校のうち、違法行為の酷い幾つかの学校が閉鎖されることになりました。日本人学生が一定数いた学校としては
Sterling College とMelbourne International College です。両校とも学費の安さと、永住権申請サポートで知られていましたが、その度の過ぎたサポートが違法行為にあたった様です。

Students are advised that under the ESOS Act, ACPET is required
to offer them a suitable alternative course and that they will not
be required to pay extra money if they have already paid money in
advance to Sterling College or Melbourne International College.

近々、MODLからHAIRDRESSERとCOOKが消える可能性が高まってきました。
まだ正式発表には至っていませんが、新聞などで記事になっています。
HAIRDRESSING and cookery are expected to be removed from the list
of occupational skills in short supply in Australia ― a move that
would affect migration rules and have widespread ramifications for
the international education industry. Thousands of international
students who complete courses in hairdressing and cookery can gain
extra migration points towards applications for permanent residency
because the two trades are currently included on the Migration Occupations
in Demand List.

スキルアセスメントAIWCW 2011年2月1日からWELFARE WORKER (ASCO 2512-11)でスキル判定を行う条件に英語力IELTS7.0が条件に加わる。
The following is offered as background to the earlier decision
by the Australian Institute of Welfare and Community Workers (AIWCW)
in July 2008 to require an English language IELTS Level 7 by 1st
January 2010, for those wishing to be recognised as a "welfare worker"
for the purposes of the General Skilled Migration program. However
do not panic as the new requirements will not commence until 1 February
2011 .1st February 2011

General Gardener60点可能性あり。TNQ TAFE（通称ケアンズTAFE）では、QLDにて人材不足に陥ってるHorticulture分野の人材を育成するために、コースを開設、多くの留学生の受け入れを計画しています。
Horticulture and Agriculture分野の人材が不足しているとの事ですが、その状態が今後続けば、色々とアドバンテージが出てくる可能性もあります。
（学校からのコメント）We have a large skills shortage in Horticulture
and Agriculture in Cairns so TNQ TAFE is targeting to bring in 250
Diploma of Horticulture students in January 2009.
